The media play an important role in informing and educating us about the world around us. With so many types of media and so much information, journalists often do not have the time or resources to fully or accurately report on issues affecting people with learning disabilities, or to reflect their lives. This project is designed to support those in the media who already deal with these issues. The project also wants to encourage others to write stories or reflect the lives of people with learning disabilities in a positive way.

The main goal of the ´REAL LIVE MEDIA´ project is to improve the portrayal of people with disabilities in and by the media. The second goal is to raise public awareness about the rights, responsibilities, potential and culture of disabled citizens in the European Union. The third goal of the project is to act as a change agent to promote social inclusion and non-discrimination.
